Prologue
SUSPICIOUS CHRONICLE OR SAD SPOOF
Civilization Step into the Abyss
In 2013, Europe is pompously celebrating 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan, the imperial edict that guaranteed free life and religious practice to Christians. And in Kosovo and Metohija, Serbian province that is under protectorate of the European Union, organized and incited Albanian mob is holding under siege the medieval Orthodox Monastery Visoki Dečani. Ceremonious speeches about the Edict and tolerance, that the retainers of the EU are bombarding us with, are intertwined with news about violence, threats and hatred. The list of protection of the UNESCO in Kosovo is the list for execution.
The EU announces that ”Kosovo is moving in a good direction”. It is not the first to believe that the planned expulsion of Serbs is actually the ”permanent solution of the Serbian issue”. Official Serbia had been given the date by when it must agree with this. This is how it will mark another victory against itself, to compensate for time lost. Afterwards it will be given a new date, the one for ”the beginning of negotiations”, and that beginning will be the end. There will be no more dates, and we will no longer need them. We will become a candidate for a candidate and in this way achieve the many centuries long dream of our ancestors, whose names we have forgotten.
Jump into the abyss is here regarded as a historical step forward.
Humor is a parachute riddled with ”harsh earthy prose”.
For the end of this sad spoof, something comforting. In 1987, Aleksandar Baljak wrote an aphorism: ”I am an optimist, because it can’t get any worse.”
Sure it can... ”A pessimist is an optimist with experience.” <
